2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards Best New Artist Category Finalists Revealed

LOS ANGELES, CA (WUNF) — iHeartMedia and Turner have announced Tuesday — the finalists of the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards Best New Artist category across seven different music formats including Rock/Alternative Rock, Country, Hip-Hop, Latin, Regional Mexican, Pop and R&B.

Each category finalist will be competing for the ultimate Best New Artist award, presented by the all-new 2017 Subaru Impreza®, and the winner will be announced during the fan engaged and star studded show on Sunday, March 5, at the Forum in Los Angeles.

The 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards will be televised live on TBS, TNT and truTV at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT and will be heard on iHeartMedia stations nationwide and on the iHeartRadio application for computers and mobile devices.

The 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards will feature live performances, duets and collaborations by today’s hottest artists and performers including Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, The Chainsmokers, Shawn Mendes, Thomas Rhett, Noah Cyrus and Big Sean. The 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest.

Nominees for the iHeartRadio Music Awards were announced on January 4th and currently Drake leads nominees with 12 nominations, including Male Artist of the Year, while The Chainsmokers received 11 nominations, including the inaugural Best New Pop Artist category. Other artists who have received multiple nominations include Twenty One Pilots, Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, Daya, Halsey, Nicky Jam and Sia.

In addition to the Best New Artist presented by the all-new 2017 Subaru Impreza® award, this year the iHeartRadio Music Awards will feature new awards for Producer of the Year, Label of the Year and Best Music Video, as well as individual awards in music’s biggest genres for Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year.
