Authorities Requesting Information Regarding Paramus, NJ Hit-And-Run

PARAMUS, N.J. (WUNF) — The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Paramus Police Department are requesting information from the public regarding a hit and run collision which resulted in a pedestrian sustaining serious bodily injury.

On Tuesday, March 15 the Paramus Police Department received several 911 emergency calls reporting that a person had been struck by a motor vehicle on State Highway 17 North, just prior to Ridgewood Avenue, Paramus, New Jersey. Upon responding to the scene, officers observed a female victim lying in the roadway. The victim, who was identified as Kimberly A. Delaney, age 36, had suffered serious injuries consistent with having been struck by a motor vehicle, and was transported and admitted to Hackensack University Medical Center.

It appears that the vehicle stopped briefly then left the scene continuing northbound. At this time, the vehicle is believed to be a 2010-2013 grey Toyota Sienna minivan that sustained damage to the front passenger bumper and passenger side mirror.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Tips Line at 201-226-5532 or the Paramus Police Department at 201-262-3400.
