DNCC Announces Headlining Speakers For Dem Convention

PHILADELPHIA, P.A. (WUNF) — Hillary for America and the Democratic National Convention Committee announced Friday, headlining speakers for each night of the program.

Democrats say in a press release that they will speak about ‘the clear stakes in this election between building walls and tearing people down or an optimistic unifying vision for an America that is stronger together.’

On Monday, ‘United Together’ will feature First Lady Michelle Obama, DREAMer Astrid Silva and Senator Bernie Sanders with gavel time expected to occur at 3:00 p.m.

Monday’s topic will ‘focus on putting the future of American families front and center’ also explaining ‘how we’re stronger together when we build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top.’

Tuesday, Former President Bill Clinton and Mothers of the Movement will feature a roll call vote with statements on how Hillary Clinton ‘has spent her career working to make a difference for children, families and our country’

Individuals from the Mothers of the Movement participating Tuesday, include, Gwen Carr, Mother of Eric Garner; Sybrina Fulton, Mother of Trayvon Martin; Maria Hamilton, Mother of Dontré Hamilton; Lucia McBath, Mother of Jordan Davis; Lezley McSpadden, Mother of Michael Brown; Cleopatra Pendleton-Cowley, Mother of Hadiya Pendleton; Geneva Reed-Veal, Mother of Sandra Bland.

Wednesday’s headline ‘Working Together’ will feature President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden and the speakers will ‘take an in-depth look at just how high stakes are in this election and how Hillary has the experience, steadiness to bring people together’ Gavel time is expected to occur at 4:30 p.m.

Finally on Thursday with the headline, ‘Stronger Together’ Hillary Clinton and Chelsea Clinton will be featured, on the final day of the Democratic National Convention (DNC).

Hillary Clinton will speak about ‘her vision for our country’ she will also explain ‘her belief that we are stronger together and that America is at its best when we work together to solve our problems.’

Hillary for America also said in the release that they will announce additional speakers in the coming days.
