Fair Lawn, New Jersey Resident Impacted By Fire Says Community And Family Assisted And Red Cross Did Very Little

FAIR LAWN, NJ (WUNF) — Andy Grushinskiy, better known as andythep0et on Twitter is an up and coming artist in the town of Fair Lawn, NJ.

Grushinskiy said on Twitter that he woke up and saw that his house was on fire and got out, also saying ‘God said it wasn’t my time yet’

Many in town Saturday snapped pictures and looked on while the house was burning on Alexander Avenue and watched as firefighters battled the fire.

The rebuilding process after the fire was now about to occur as the fire was brought under control by emergency responders.

Grushinskiy says that the humanitarian orginization American Red Cross did very little to assist him throughout the ordeal saying also to UNF News that the Red Cross helped ‘BARELY’ and that ultimately it was the community that helped him through the tragedy including Friends and Family.

The Red Cross has yet to respond to Grushinskiy’s complaint that there was very little assistance; UNF NEWS has reached out to the Red Cross for comment but have not heard back yet at this time. UNF News will of course update this article and send out social updates when we do.

Stay tuned for continuing coverage and updates on this story.
