HARTFORD, C.T. (WUNF) — On Thursday, Hillary Clinton will campaign in Hartford, Connecticut and hold a discussion with family members of gun violence victims about her commitment to enact commonsense gun safety measures as president according to Hillary for America.
Participants will include family of the victims of the Sandy Hook shooting, and also include family of victims of gun violence in cities in the State of Connecticut.
According to Hillary for America, Clinton proposed commonsense steps to tackle gun violence in communities across the country, including enacting comprehensive background checks, ending immunity protections for irresponsible gun manufacturers and dealers which prevent victims’ families from holding them accountable, keeping guns out of the hands of domestic abusers, other violent criminals and the severely mentally ill.
The event will be held at the Wilson-Gray YMCA in Hartford. Members of the public who want to RSVP can do so by clicking here.
