NYPD Asking For Public Assistance For Information Of A Robbery In The 43rd Precinct

NEW YORK, N.Y. (WUNF) — The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance in identifying a person shown in the surveillance photo who is wanted for questioning in regards to a robbery that occurred within the 43rd Precinct.

Police were told that on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at approximately 1650 hours, an unidentified female was picked up by a taxi at 2741 Jerome Avenue and she requested to be dropped off in front of 1315 Olmstead Avenue. When the taxi driver arrived at the drop off location, the female punched him and removed the driver’s Galaxy 5 cellphone from the middle console before fleeing out of the vehicle southbound on Olmstead Avenue. The driver refused medical attention at the scene according to police.

The individual is described as a white female, approximately 40-years-old, 5’0″, 120lbs, and she was last seen wearing a light jacket and a baseball cap.
