President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump to Light National Christmas Tree

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUNF) — President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will light the National Christmas Tree at the 97th annual National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at President’s Park at the White House on Thursday, December 5, 2019.

The ceremony will include performances by Jessie James Decker, Chevel Shepherd, Colton Dixon, Max Impact, Spensha Baker, “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band, the Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus, and the West Tennessee Youth Chorus.

According to the National Park Service, the entrance for ticketed guests is located along 17th Street NW across from E Street NW. Officials say that attendees are encouraged to use public transportation and Metro to travel to President’s Park. The Farragut North and West Metro stations are closest to where the event will take place.

I have also covered the Miss America Pageant and Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2020 in New York, NY. Other notable events that I have covered include the Democratic National Convention in 2016 and the Visit of Pope Francis to New York, NY in 2015.
