Ridgewood New Jersey Resident With Special Needs Raises Money For Pizza Shop Closed By Fire

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. (WUNF) — La Bella Pizza on Maple Avenue in Ridgewood, New Jersey has been closed and boarded up for a long time due to an electrical fire and many people were saddened about the closure.

One resident who not only loves the pizza shop, but also the owner was determined to raise money so La Bella Pizza would reopen.

22-Year-Old Doug Bunza who is a resident and a man with special needs in Ridgewood and starter of the GoFundMe campaign to raise money for Owner Kenny tells Kyle Mazza in a statement, ‘Kenny is one of the nicest people I have ever met, he’s so great to the ridgewood community and he’s good to the special ed community, if your short of money, he will help you out and he’s just the nicest person you’d ever wanna meet’

Mazza asks Bunza, ‘what would you say to the people that are donating to help out Kenny and La Bella Pizza?’ Bunza responds ‘I want to say thank you so much for donating, you guys are the best, without you guys, Kenny wouldn’t have the money so he can get back on track’
