School Bus Crashes Into Utility Pole In Fair Lawn, NJ

FAIR LAWN, N.J. (WUNF) —¬†Today at around 7:50 am, Fair Lawn Police responded to a single car crash involving a school bus. The bus, owned by Scholastic Bus Company out of Fair Lawn, had no students on board when it struck a utility pole after driving through the intersection of Fair Lawn Avenue & Saddle River Road.

The driver, a 74 year old male out of Paramus, was disoriented when officers arrived and did not recall the crash when questioned. He was transported to Valley Hospital for evaluation.
Fair Lawn Fire Company #4 responded due to a downed power line on Saddle River Road at Kuiken Terrace as a result of the crash a block away. The damaged utility pole was being inspected by PSE&G. Motorists, according to authorities, should expect delays & closures in that area throughout the day.
