Three Fair Lawn Residents While Walking Tuesday Night Were Victims Of A Robbery; 2 Suspects On The Run

FAIR LAWN, N.J. (WUNF) — On Tuesday August 2, at 11:42 p.m., Fair Lawn Police responded to a report of an armed robbery on Harristown Road at Heights Avenue.

A 53-year-old female, 22-year-old male and a 16-year-old female all from Fair Lawn, were walking on Harristown Road when they were approached by a black male who is described as being approximately 6 feet tall, wearing black pants and a black sweatshirt who was holding a handgun and a hispanic or black male who is described as being short in height, wearing a baseball cap with the letter ‘A’ on the front in red, who demanded the male victim’s phone.

The hispanic or black suspect allegedly then took a pocket knife out of his pocket and used it to cut the purse strap from the 53-year-old female victim.
