Mayor Fulop Announces Return of Jersey City’s Fourth of July “Freedom & Fireworks Festival” for Third Year

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (WUNF) — Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop announced Wednesday, the return of New Jersey’s premier Fourth of July fireworks and concert celebration.

Jersey City’s event is titled “Freedom and Fireworks Festival” which is being held at Liberty State Park will feature fireworks by Grucci, live musical performances which include “Village People,” amusement rides, food, and entertainment.

The event, is free and open to the public and will occur from 1:00 p.m. and last until 10:00 p.m. “Liberty State Park in Jersey City offers unrivaled views and a place for neighbors to join their community in celebration. There is no greater place to gather for our nation’s independence,” said Jersey City’s Mayor.

Anyone who is attending the event are being urged by officials to arrive by foot, bike, or public transportation to Liberty State Park as parking will be extremely limited in the park and surrounding areas.
