QUEENS, NEW YORK (UNF NEWS) – A suspect in New York City allegedly shot four people in a random shooting spree, Saturday. The suspect carried out the crime on an illegal moped. The shooting began at 11:10 a.m. in Brooklyn, New York where a 21-year-old man was shot in the left shoulder. The individual was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Around 11:27 a.m., a second person was shot in the back in Queens, New York according to investigators. The 87-year-old man was then transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. The third shooting incident occurred at approximately 11:35 a.m. when a third individual was shot at a corner in Queens, New York. A 44-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound in the cheek and is currently hospitalized in critical condition. The fourth shooting incident occurred at 11:37 a.m. where a fourth victim was shot. A 63-year-old man was struck by a gunshot and his right shoulder was wounded, the man is currently hospitalized in stable condition. The shootings are believed to be random and at the present time, there is no motive. A suspect/person of interest is currently in custody.
