ENGLEWOOD, NEW JERSEY (UNF NEWS) – The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Englewood Police Department are investigating a homicide that occurred at 6 Mevan Avenue in Englewood, New Jersey on Saturday, September 30, 2023. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Englewood Police Department are investigating a homicide that occurred Saturday, September 30, 2023. At approximately 5:55 a.m., the Englewood Police Department responded to a 911 call from 6 Mevan Avenue reporting a shooting within the residence. Responding officers found 35-year-old Jason Hidalgo of Bronx, New York, inside the residence dead after suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The ongoing investigation is being conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jason Love and the Englewood Police Department under the direction of Chief Thomas Greeley. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available, but the shooting appears to be an isolated incident.
