WASHINGTON, DC (UNF NEWS) – FBI and United States Secret Service officers searched the unused Venezuelan Ambassador’s Residence and other buildings near the residence in Washington, DC on February 15, 2024 in the evening hours after a reported trespasser set off an alarm. Heavy police activity was in the area and FBI agents had raid jackets on as well as heavy weapons. At approximately 8:50 PM, agents yelled “surrender” a few seconds after originally calling out that they were on site and “police”. Following that, K9 units were called from MPD while the United States Secret Service Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene. Preliminarily, it was suspected that this incident was due to a raid and it has since been updated by police that it was a potential trespassing incident.
