Six Week Old Child Death Being Investigated In Paterson, New Jersey

PATERSON, NEW JERSEY (UNF NEWS) — Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes announces that on the morning of April 20, 2023 members of the Paterson Fire Department responded to a residence located at 264 9th Avenue, 2nd Floor, Paterson, New Jersey in response to a 911 call placed at approximately 6:18 AM. Shortly thereafter, a six-week-old child was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center, where the child was pronounced dead at approximately 6:56 AM. Detectives from the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit were notified and responded to the hospital to conduct an investigation. This investigation is active and ongoing and more information will be released when it becomes available.
