Three people shot, one person in critical condition in Chicago, Illinois

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (UNF NEWS) – Three people shot, one person in critical condition in Chicago, Illinois on May 16, 2024. At approximately 9:07 p.m., Thursday evening on the 3200 block of W. 55th St., police officers discovered a 27-year-old male victim who sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body, the victim was transported to the hospital and is in good condition. A 14-year-old male victim sustained one gunshot wound to the torso and one gunshot wound to the shoulder and is listed in critical condition at the hospital. A 39-year-old male was struck once on the wrist and was transported to the hospital and is in fair condition. Preliminary information suggests that the two individuals were exchanging gunfire with the 27-year-old male.
