WAYNE, NEW JERSEY (UNF NEWS) – Fatal vehicle accident claims life of an adult and a juvenile; two additional juveniles were also injured in Wayne, New Jersey on April 30, 2023. The crash occurred at 10:04 a.m. Sunday on I-80 eastbound at exit 53 in Wayne. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Honda Odyssey was traveling eastbound on I-80, Exit 53 ramp (milepost 53.6). While on the ramp, the Honda traveled off the left side of the ramp and impacted a light pole. As a result of this crash the driver, Robert Csapo, 46-years-old, of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, United States, and a male juvenile also from Lyndhurst, New Jersey, United States, sustained fatal injuries. Two additional male juveniles sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital. Exit 53 was closed for approximately 4 hours resulting in moderate traffic congestion. The crash remains under investigation by authorities.
