CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (UNF NEWS) — FBI, U.S. Marshals, Violent Crime Task Force and Chicago police descended on a home in Chicago, Illinois on April 26, 2024. Friday afternoon around 1:00 PM, the FBI, U.S. Marshals, Violent Crime Task Force and the Chicago Police Department descended on a home on the block of South Hale Avenue. Evidence was recovered from the home by police and placed in boxes. The Chicago Police Department said in a statement that law enforcement “is in the area to conduct a follow-up investigation” but that no other information was available for release at this time. The FBI said in a statement that no information was available for release at this time. FBI and police entered the home and searched around it for several hours, Friday afternoon and into the evening hours. Reports and scanner radio traffic indicate it is linked to the death of Chicago Police Officer Luis Huesca, however this was not officially or formally confirmed by Chicago Police, FBI or other law enforcement.
