CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (UNF NEWS) – Sunday morning, May 19, 2024 Chicago police investigate an overnight mass shooting that wounded six people, three of those shot are in critical condition in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday evening, May 18, 2024. At approximately 9:59 p.m., Saturday evening on the 700 block of S. Albany Ave., a group of males were hanging out on the street when an unknown amount of suspects fired shots from a distance in their direction striking six male adults. A 23-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to the back and face and was dropped off at the hospital in critical condition. A 21-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to the right cheek and was dropped off at the hospital in critical condition. A 27-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to the back and two gunshot wounds to the left ankle and was dropped off at the hospital in critical condition. A 39-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to the right leg and was transported to the hospital in good condition. A 33-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to the right leg and was transported to the hospital in good condition. A 38-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to the right ankle and was transported to the hospital in good condition.
