Emotionally distraught individual in a standoff with Paterson police in Paterson, New Jersey, United States on April 8, 2023. New Jersey State Police, Passaic County Sheriff's SWAT and other officers converged at a New Jersey Transit garage on Market Street before 5:45 PM Eastern Time, Saturday afternoon. The standoff has not ended as of the morning on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023. The individual barricaded is reportedly armed with a knife. Roads are closed to traffic around the area.

PATERSON, NEW JERSEY (UNF NEWS) – Emotionally distraught individual is in a standoff with Paterson police in Paterson, New Jersey which began on April 8, 2023. New Jersey State Police, Passaic County Sheriff’s SWAT and other officers converged at a New Jersey Transit garage on Market Street before 5:45 PM Eastern Time, Saturday afternoon. The standoff has not ended as of the morning on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023. The individual barricaded is reportedly armed with a knife. Roads are closed to traffic around the area.
