NJ: Phillipsburg LEO Shot; Suspect Dead; Woman Injured

PHILLIPSBURG, NEW JERSEY (UNF NEWS) – A Phillipsburg police officer was shot while responding to a domestic incident that left a woman wounded and the gunman dead in Phillipsburg, New Jersey on April 8, 2023 according to authorities. Warren County Prosecutor Jim Pfeiffer said that the suspect shot the woman and then opened fire on officers responding to a domestic incident near Hanover Street in Phillipsburg. The gunman shot and killed himself according to the prosecutor. Both the officer, who was wounded in the leg, and the woman, who was shot in the torso, were taken to the hospital by helicopter.
