One Dead, One Injured In Chicago Illinois Shooting

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS (UNF NEWS) – One person dead and one person injured in a shooting in Chicago, Illinois on May 1, 2024. On the 6600 block of S. Blackstone at approximately 4:48 p.m., Wednesday afternoon a 29-year-old male victim and a 33-year-old male victim were on the sidewalk when they both sustained gunshot wounds by an unknown suspect. A 29-year-old victim sustained a gunshot wound to the stomach and the left leg, he was pronounced dead at the hospital. The 33-year-old victim sustained a graze wound to the left arm and was transported to the hospital in good condition. Police are investigating the shooting.
