SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NEW JERSEY (UNF NEWS) – New Jersey chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NJ) held a news conference with Muslim community leaders and Prospect Park Mayor Mohamed Khairullah in South Plainfield, N.J., to respond to the Secret Service’s revocation of Prospect Park Mayor Mohamed Khairullah’s White House Eid event invitation. Anthony Guglielmi, chief of communications for the U.S. Secret Service, says that the United States Secret Service is unable to comment on “specific protective means and methods,” at the White House complex. CAIR-NJ is concerned that the mayor’s invitation was revoked due to his status on an alleged government watchlist.
