Shooting At Wawa On Spring Street In Elizabeth, New Jersey

ELIZABETH, NEW JERSEY (UNF NEWS) – Early Saturday morning, April 22, 2023 around 5:00 AM, police responded to a report of a shooting at Wawa in Elizabeth, located at 595 Spring Street. An individual was suffering from gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital for treatment. At this time, there is no indication that the shooting is fatal. Wawa was closed while police conducted the investigation. Police tape littered the sidewalks and public areas for processing of the scene by investigators. No further information was immediately available from Elizabeth police.
