NEWARK, NEW JERSEY (UNF NEWS) – Three people were shot in Newark, New Jersey around 8:10 PM Eastern Time, Monday, May 22, 2023 in the area of 18th Avenue. One person was pronounced dead at the hospital. The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Newark police department is investigating the shooting incident. No further information was immediately available from authorities on the shooting.
